I need some new brakes. I dont really have the money for anything special. So i was wondering what you guys run. I was thinking of some brembo blanks and just some ceramic pads from autozone with a lifetime warranty.

well i mean, even when my pads where good, its kind of scary to step on the brakes at 130 and nothing happens. I kind of want something decent.

well something isnt right if nothin happens. i have a huge brake fluid leak and all im stopping with is the two front rotors and it stops quick even if it 110(maxed out). when they heat up tho, thats a different story.

dustin your brakes suck! hahaha! j/p...so do mine...they shake if im going over 40mph. lol.

but to be seriosu Derka, the BEST AND CHEAPEST way to go is brembo blanks with hawk hp plus pads. that is what most people run in auto-x and youll be happy with them..i believe its 60 or 70 for the front pads, and im sure youve priced the brembos already. Go to TireRack.com, they have it all and for pretty good prices. Might as well grab you some ss brake lines too. And trust me you will be happy with that setup for a while!

depends on your intended use. Daily driver with bite or something that needs to be heated up.

Ackebono (sp) work very well for a daily driver with good bite and very little dust. About $50 a pair.

i like the honda pads, they last a long time, perform nicely, and dont really dust. and its the same price as the higher quality ones that youd get at the auto parts store. as far as rotors, i've tried different ones and they dont seem to make a difference. the current ones i have on there are the honda rotors just bc they were the same price w/my dealer discount as aftermarket. just dont cheap out too much on the pads and you'll be fine. theres usually like 3 different grades at the parts store, so just dont get the cheapest.

Do you know any good ebc dealers?

Honda-tech has some good deals on brakes, but getting the pads from my work (autozone) would be good, because they wont give me a hassle about trading them in.

Anyone selling a rear disk brake conversion?

I hope you weren't on public road @ 130mph.
