Whats the most hp a sohc will take on stock internals?...Ive heard alot of different stories so links or personal experience would be awesome.And is there any one motor that is stronger than the others or all they all the same?

 

My friend had a single cam vtec running on 8 psi around 230hp....

 

No internals?...If so thats pretty good and I would be happy with that for a little while.

 

WELL umm he did get new rods new pistons ect...and had it rebuilt ..and had a turbo

Jamie, look through the list and read what's done to most of them, alot of them are stock making 270+ whp and they have very nice hp/tq ratios... check it out..
