Default New help with a diagnostic code

My 2001 Honda Civic, 1.7l is throwing two codes, P01361 and P01362. Every garage tells me it is a code that the factory tech only can diagnose. Can anyone tell me what it is? I googled both, and didn't see anything.

The car runs fine, will lose power, stall, then starts fine again. It will not acelerate until it cools down. Any ideas?

Have you tried Autozone? They diagnose CEL's for free.
It might include *your*codes........at least worth a try.-Bob

Two shops have run the diagnostic and told me it is a Honda only code. I have never heard of such a thing, but I can't believe that either shop would send a repair away.

More unusual, a serch of the code reveals no clues. I googled both, and got nothing. usually, any code you google will get some information in return.

I work at a honda dealer, that is not a normal cel. It is a dealer only thing. Its not exactly a diagnostic code, its a repair bulliten #. I would take it to a dealer as soon as you get a chance. I dont have access to check those for you, otherwise i would.

Oooh it is excessive end shaft play in the cam, replacement of the cylinder head is needed to fix this. It is a known problem.

Honda most likely will pay for it, unless you have like 150k on the engine.
