shift linkage

Default shift linkage

how do i get the shift linkage out of my eg hatch? i got the one off that has the bolt, but i cant get the other one out. im swapping motors, and need to know. would anyone like to come down and help? thanks.

I'm just assuming "You got the torque rod off which is connected with the shifter and is abit easy. The shift rod has a little pin within it and the pin is covered up by a clamp. Remove that clamp with a small screw driver or pin punch and it should pop right out and you can disassemble it easy."

no i didnt get the torque rod off... i dont think. i will check my haynes manual and see what i have to do. thanks for the help. ill keep this updated.

yeah that fucking little bastard ass pin is a bitch to get off if your actually under the car while hammering that damn pin out. just wanted to let you know since i had to do it to my car today g/l

ok thanks for the info guys. ill mess with it when i have the chance again. i saw how to do it in my haynes manual... does not look that bad really.
