it will work...being as it doesnt come with the important stuff. like a turbo manifold and alot of other components... there is alot more parts you are going to need other than that set... it may be cheaper for you to find a "complete" turbo kit, but as far as it working on your motor... but to answer your question, yes it will work with any sohc provided the correct intake manifold it purchased...

- a tip... i wouldnt really just throw a turbo on car with out any internal work, strengthen up the internals a bit...
you will need to purchase the right pistons with the right compression, maybe some rods, and you need to make sure your bearings, piston rings and gaskets are good before you put a turbo on it. there is more stuff other than this that you may need... but some people put turbo kits on "stock" cars and they blow up a few weeks later... and some people get a year + out of the deal.

ask your self this... Is this a stock car? do you have plans for it? do you want it dependable and reliable car? how much money are you gonna invest into this car? think of all this and then we can take it from the top.

You couldnt be more wrong. I turbo'd my d16, it had 170k miles. I left the engine bone stock. I pushed 10lbs daily. Beat the living shit out of the car. The turbo blew, and the engine still ran stong. If you have the proper tune you will be fine. Just keep the boost reasonable.

With my current setup d16y7/y8 head it runs great. Im pushing 8.9lbs on a t3 super 60.

That turbo might be a little laggy. Plus i would stay away from ebay turbo setups

how bout you continue reading the message before saying how "wrong" i am... Im happy for you being able to turbo a stock car with no problems but you arent the only one in the world who has turbo'd a stock car... i have know about 2 or 3 people that turbo'd a car that was stock and it hardly lasted a month, it depends on how much wear the motor has on it.... and if you continue reading the message you will also notice that it reads:
"some people put turbo kits on "stock" cars and they blow up a few weeks later... and some people get a year + out of the deal."

but yeah derka, you are right about one thing... stay away from ebay when it comes to stuff like turbo kits... unless you find one on there for sale that is from someone who is parting out theyre car... but yeah, do not buy from companies like ssautochrome, xp power, turbocharger... or any other names that are unknown.

well if the motor is in decent shape and he keeps his boost 12 psi or lower it should be ok... if he only has 2 grand the only thing he can do would be the t3/t4 turbo kit... and some bolt ons, if he spends his money the right way on the right stuff and doesnt over exceed the cars limits... it should be fine, just make sure he saves money to get it tuned after the turbo and stuff it put on.

"High Quality TO4E, With Forged Turbine Profpelier Wheel

TO4E TurboCharge SPec:

Turbine Wheel Excuder 2.48"
Mayor 2.89"
Compressor Wheel Excuder 2.07"
Mayor 2.36"

Just reading this....there is no way I would buy this turbo. Even if it fits your setup perfectly. The brand name is Turbocharger. And who makes a Forged Turbine Profpelier Wheel? Also, just them spelling exducer.....Excuder...no way man.
