Default !!!!!grinding Noise!!!!!

I'am in need of new Engine Mounts ( I knw that ), im looking for some right now as a matter of fact. But i've needed Engine mounts for a while now, This noise just started about 2 days ago. So far it only does it on Reverse.
Its the H22A,(5speed), When I put the car in Reverse, Its giving me a grinding noise, kinda like if it was touching something. I can sorta feel it on the bottom of my feet (not sure ). But I dont knw if that has something to do with the tranny or what. Now that im thinkin about it, I went through a pretty darn high speed bump and I did happend to grind the bottom of the car some what. I dont think it did it right after that though, (it could've) But dont remember.. ( I might have to get up under the car and check )
could it be my exahust touching with something?

Let me know guys, some advice would be apreaciated...

p.s ( i still havent checked under the car yet) im going to soon, just havent had time)

Do you have a lower brace in the front?

I went over a gnarly speed bump that pushed my lower brace onto the exhaust piping. Since they were touching, it made a loud "scraping" sound at low RPM and during acceleration...

Otherwise, it's probably something to do with your motor & tranny not sitting still. Get those mounts fixed!

^^ Im thinkin it has to do w/ the Exhaust pipe too.. Im sure its touching, because, just like u sayd, It only does it on LOW RPM"S on reverse, Once you get rev it a bit higher (itll go away)

*I'am, going to check that out
But still swappin out those MOUNTS for Sure too..

LET ME KNW IF u knw anywhere, i can get some used (good shape) or new h22a engine mounts !!!

Exhaust pipe?
Also check to see if the shift linkage is rubbing, since the mounts are loose.

You can also stiffen up the motor mounts by squeezing some polyurethane
into the openings, and letting it dry for a few days. That's how I rebuilt my mounts.
Pep Boys also sells a kit of rubber parts to push into those openings.-Bob
