how do i know what tranny i have

i have a 93 da and my friend supposedly told me i have a ys1 tranny does this tranny have an lsd and where do i find the code to know what tranny i have and what tranny's have what??? thanks guys

Trans type should be stamped on the trans next to the engine block,
or on a tag fastened/cast to the trans...... on some cars.

Quiko test for Limited slip: Jack it up. Rotate a wheel by hand.
My guess is that both wheels will turn in the same direction, and
a person will not be able to prevent it happening by hand.

If you had a LOCKED Differential, you would already know it,
and wouldn't need to ask the question......

you have a ys1, non-lsd. The tag isnt stamped on the tranny, its just a sticker than can come off, but its on the front of the tranny right next to where the tranny meets the block.

so if it is a ys1 it does not have the lsd. which cable tranny does?? for b-series
