Snap on makes a pretty decent one. Think i paid about $125 for mine. Ask him for an "import overhead valvespring compressor" I dont have the p/n in front of me...
You can even remove valve springs w/o pulling the head(so they claim, Ive never had to try it)

KJ had a nice set up, it clamped to the top of the head , cannot remember where he ordered it from

I know its a pain especially when you are putting the head back together and trying to put the keepers on

i had to have George do the clamp while I did the keepers .. teamwork for the win

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.

You don't need a compressor to remove springs if the head is off the car. You just whack the retainer with a socket and the keepers pop loose.
As for compressing, if you don't want to buy a good arm and bar type lever compressor and you don't want to work with the giant c clamp style, check out this simple little tool http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Honda...47727041QQrdZ1
