86mm too big for turbo?

Default 86mm too big for turbo?

is a sleeved 86 mm ls block too big of a bore for turbo??? you would have to go na with that huh

not to big...the cylinder walls just too thin. I mean anyhign is possible though.

ya,I think 86mm is all that you get out of them sleeved.Would be good for some spray ..But like cold_beer said anything is possible.

i mean people tell me that b20 sleeves are weak , yet i have put 100+ hp additons with nitrouss onto 3 of them and no problems...

The biggest issue will be head gasket sealing. The area between the sleeves is so thin you will be blower head gaskets every other day , I wouldn't go bigger than 85mm for a boosted set up.

It has been done before but like John said the headgasket is going to be more of an issue than the sleeve strength.

YEAH WELL I JUST found some 84 mm pistons for the low and im probably going to pick up a block and get iot bored.... how much should this run me ballpark... how bout on a block already 82mm

i hope when you mean bore out a block to 84mm that you mean a sleeved block and not a stock one.... you will have a veryhard time running 84 mm safely if it is not sleeved, in fact i dont even know if it can be done

nope i have done many 82mm...and tuesday i bored my first mototr to 83 : o ) but there was no room for anymore it was a gsr block and we just fired it up last night and its running flawless but i would not bore it anymore...but DAMN 86mm thats like prelude sized pistons that head will be takeing a beating for it will be damn near overlapping
