thanks,..i checked the intake mani for cracks or leaks,..new intake mani ghasket,..new intake mani for that matter,...new TB ghasket,...have the vaccume hose diagram on the hood and hooked them all up,...when u are standing @ the front bumper lookin @ the motor,...sounds like its comin from somewhere behind the intake mani on the dizzy side,..ill try the rag thing tho,..the only thing i can think of @ this point is something stuck in the flywheel, cuase the dude was driving it when it started to make that noise,..so idk what else it could b,..no water or oil leakin out so i kno the whining noise isn't comin from the waterpump-lines or the block-head,...may-b inside the 2 but not on the outside,..idk what would make the head whine like that tho,..im gonna try to get my friends camera and take some video and put it on putfile or something for you's to see,...thanks for everything tho

 

all thse problems and she could have gotten a new h23 for less money

 

how many miles have you drove since the ''whinning'' started ?

i havnt drivin my car at all shes been sitting

 

have you stuck your head under it or got up under it to see if theres anything stuck in the flywheel there is supposed to be a plate that covers it up but alot of people dont put them back when like when they do a swap or a clutch job. just a suggestion

i've heard a head whine if the timing belt is over tightened!

also make sure the starter gear is disengaging after it starts! if the gear is staying engaged it could make for a nasty whining noise!

 

danaintampa came today and made a logical point,...the guy who had the car in the shop, changed the intake mani ghasket,..well we noticed it was a cheap ass one,..and is barely anything,....and it might be pulling air from that,...another thing that i tryed we once again did it but this time when we held our hand over the throttle body hole (hopeing that it would die out), it didn't die out. theirfor its getting air in the intake enough for it to run,...so we are gonna put some RTV ghasket sealer on it and wait for it to dry,..crank it up,..and repeat the process,...if that method doesn't change anything we will try the starter thing,..i was thinkin the starter thing but doesn't sound like its comin from the starter,...motor also surges up and down....if it isn't one thing its another,...well thank you everyone for your help and ill be back with results tomorrow!!! lol,...
