Default auto to manuel

Does anyone know how hard is it to swap automatic tranny to a manuel. Is there a website where I could go check out to see what needs to be done in the conversion. I have a 95 civic ex with an auto tranny that I bought for my wife and she doesnt want it anymore so know I'm stuck with it and I want to make it a 5speed. I know I need the basic shit like tranny, linkage, flywheel, clutch, and other shit that goes along with the swap. But I need to know if I could use the same shaft, axles or do I need to switch them too. And another thing they told me that some wiring modification has to be done around the shifter so that the car knows that it doesnt have an automatic in it. and another thing to, if there is a shop around that could do all the work for me as well I'm willing to take car to get the work done. But if anyone has any info in where I could get the work done at or I'll just do it myself. But just let me know.Peace

ok you will need what was stated...plus a 5speed Ecu,"pedel 5speed set.clutch cyl, master with slave.all the pipeing for the hydro line"((i have all this if you wish to buy))you will need to buy a after market mount for the upper tranny or you dont have to use it at all the front and rear are fine...as for wireing just make sure you have the car in park when unpluging the shifter then stick a lil pin in the locking thing so it does not move or you can just splie the 2 wires together

O.K. It is half-ass to not have an upper tranny mount....I did this and hated the swap intensely. U can drill the spot welds out and use the metal mount from the body of a 5 spd donor civic and weld it on...but in hindsight, the hasport mount (which I didnt know existed at the time) is a better choice and less work. O.K. there's more, the gauge cluster needs replacing and the center console too, also u have to wire up the reverse lights and reverse light sensor...Geee noone ever mentions these miserable details...sell the car buy a 5 spd..to make it factory is waaay to much labor:I know.

its not entirely too hard, i did mine for less than $1500, took me 3 years to get everything to work correctly (intentionally took that long) but the better part of a weekend for the swap...

I could have spent less, actually I spent $350 for everything minus a trans. from a local yard, only to find out I couldnt use half of the most expensive stuff (ecu & shift linkage) cause it was for a del sol, I eventually bought a complete 5sp d15 swap for $100, then spent $100 for a mount, then paid $100 for the old mount to ger removed and new mount welded in....the anothr $100 for the "right shift linkage" and another $100 to get a 5spd centerpiece welded in...the about another $200 in misc. wiring, sensors, new master cylinder interior trim, and axles.....so all in all, doin it half ass cost me over $1000....
