Del Sol Trunk light on cluster is lite but trunks not open!

Del Sol Trunk light on cluster is lite but trunks not open!
Just like the title says. The trunk light is open. in the gauge cluster but the trunk is not open. When i use turn signal or hazards the gauge light for the trunk flashes on and off. Does anyone know how to cure this problem? or know whats the cause of this light? thanks people

when i ground the single wire that runs to the trunk latch, the light get brighter.
When i give the wire power, the light go's out.
So as of now the light is out but i would like to fix it to stock
but right now this works for me
if anyone else has anything that might help let me know thanks

Sounds like whatever activates the dash light need some minor adjusting.
Do you see any kind of a "door switch"? it may be grounding
improperly, or not at all.-Bob
