help needed badly

Default help needed badly

ok i just installed my d16y5 motor and for some reason it is idleing high there are no vaccume leaks or anythgin but could the little thing plugged into the black box on the back of the motor have anythign to do with the idleing at all? if anyone has any other suggestions i would appreciate it thanks timing is dead on and everytign i think its somehtign stupid and probably simple a list of things would be great..

oh and the car is a 1990 honda civic and this was never a problem before when i had the old motor in it idled great. no problems so its new all wires and hoses went on as they came off i dont know................. anyone???

also could it be my pcv valve? i used the one from the d16y5 and i coulndt blow through it i am going to change that tomorrow but i donthink it would be the problem for high idle anyone have any other advice, i am also using a si manifold from a obd0 with the d16y5 pcv valve ill put the old one back om there and se what happens

well that black box on the back of the motor is for the pcv system, but you probly just need to adjust the iacv also but you will need to attach that other thing aswell

how do you adjust the iacv i looked but i cant see anythign and thanks for the help

screw on the throttlebody . you may need to turn the car off/ unplug the iacv while setting it etc... you need to mess with it a bit and youl get the hang of it
