3rd gear grinding?????

Default 3rd gear grinding?????

just last night i noticed that when im at high rpm or in VTEC it grinds going into 3rd gear it's a new tranny a S4 2000 SI tranny should be messin up already could it be the syncros?? just started to do it will GM syncromesh cure this shit from stopping?

do you have a short throw shifter hooked up to it or the stock one?

It's common....change the oil in the tranny w/ some GM syncro mesh...

Try some Pennzoil Synchromesh. It's a common problem in the 1999 - 2000 Si's. I have posted about the black syncro ring many times.

from GM. or go to autozone and they sell it. It's a yellow bottle.
