If you have the head off. Head studs are real easy to put in...

Double nut the stud tops and they should just screw in. A drop of locktite may not hurt..........-Bob

They should come with some lube, and directions. I remember you just had tighter the studs in the block, then tourque them down after the head is on.

what you do is..... put the lube on all threads. then hand tighten the studs into the block... put the head/gasket on. put washers and nuts on. Tighten in 3 equal steps to 60lb/ft of tq(at least on my sohc). Its easy, i didnt know how to do it, they include instructions. Its pretty straight foward

It takes 4 minutes and 45 seconds once the head is off. If the head is not off and there is nothing wrong, why take everything apart to intall head studs? You didn't provide us with enough info to advise you. As to your question, it is always easier to have someone else to your work. That's certain.
