Head bolts/studs don't line up. There was someone on sohchonda.com that tried it.

i was gonna do it but scrapped the car that the motor was in it will work and bolt up right the reason i didnt go through with it is cause i tried to swap in the whole a2 motor but it will work cause the ecu runs off the head mostly and not to much on the block i would say try it and see what happens cause i know those 1.7 blocks have lots of stroke

i was looking at a d17 at my work today and the heads "look" interchangable and so do the tranny bolts and mount bolts...but i didnt actually try it.......why would honda change the bolt pattern for the head? is there a huge bore differance or somthing?
