Default Starting problem . . 96 civic ex/crx hf. .

I just put a motor which was a good motor from the previous vehicle. Ran strong. I rebuilt it and the transmission. I installed it into the car. It starts but doesn't hold idle. It dies two seconds after I start it. I checked fuel pressure(40-41psi) I checked firing order. Good. Check for any vaccum leaks. None that I can see. Everything Is obd0. Iam using obd 1 though injectors from a D16z6 civic si which fit perfect on my obd 0 plugs. I checked the charging system just for the hell of it because if the alternator is not receiving voltage then this would happen correct? It would run off the battery of course until the battery is dead.

Dash lights are bright. They do not dim when I start it. I checked my plugs on my throttle body, swaped throttle bodies from another good know vechile that runs. I changed out ecu from my stock hf to a si and now a pr3. Does the same thing on all 3. Doesn't hold idle. I played with the idle adjuster screw. Not to much of a change. Changed out distributors with another known good runing vehcile from a crx si. No change.

My only conclusion to this so far is the alternator. Now.. Will the alternator do this if its not receiving voltage? The battery is fairly new. The vehcile cranks and starts but doesn't hold idle.

Could it be a possiable bad ground on the engine harness. I checked the resistor box because iam using differnt injectors that don't normally use a resistor box. But both yellow and red wires all read 12volts with ingnition on.

Here are some specs to maybe help me and or you out. .

2000 civic ex D16Y8 with Si tranny. Cable.
pm6 ecu from a 90 crx si.
1995 obd 1 injectors from a civic si (D16Z6)
stock hf harness.

If anyone needs more info let me know. I need to know whats going on. Iam stumped.

I did that today. Iam not getting any. Iam working on it more tommorw. I checked the plugs going from the injectors to the injectors. The big round one. I bypassed the resistor box and it almost wants to start and once it just gets a small amount of gas it starts and runs good and strong. But I start it and it stalls. I will let you know more later tommorw.

91 crx hf's are dual point. 90's are to. 88-89 iam not sure. Never owned one.

I am getting injector pulse using my crx hf harness. Hf distributor and Hf ecu. I should run maybe lean but should still run and start up. I can get the car to start up unpluging the vaccum pipe that is above the pcv line right above it on the y8 manifold. The one below it is the pcv. I also by bypassed the injector resistor box and wired a constant 12 volts, but I don''t think this is good cause it will destroy the injector solnoids. Iam using obd1 injectors though, does this matter? Can I get away with runing the 12volt source?

if your using obd1 injectors you dont need the resistor box.
