Just testing myself.
Rotate crank to TDC, #1 cylinder.
Rotate cam to where upmost timing mark.
Just for a baseline timing and adjust form there.

Ok just making sure.
So we got the timing belt back on and i have the cams at a baseline. One problem, the car has no ass-end on the top-end lol.
Has anyone had any luck with setting timing on a LS head that gave them more power? Where did you have your cams set at?

 

do NOT change the cam timing without being tuned while doing it....

 

How come? I'm mainly trying to get the cam settings back to where they were.

I know that, I don' believe yopu have to tune it everytime you change the cam timing.

Yes you do. Changing cam timing without being on a dyno (to show results) is like pissing in the dark. You never know if you are missing or hitting.
