vtec problem

Default vtec problem

be4 my vtec was loud then i built my motor and now i do not hear it and no check engine light 4 the vtec and it feels like i dont have vtec

back track, check all your wiring, any other changes besides building the motor? oil leaking around solenoid? different ecu? it is probably something simple

i am runing a p28 w/a obd2 to obd1 the the check engine light is on it is the ECT Sensor (Engine Coolant Temperature) do you think at that might be the problem

have you tried seeing if the screen in the vtec solenoid is clogged? seems that it sometimes clogs up pretty easy.

if the engine is cold you will get no vtec....if the sensor doesnt work it thinks the temp is ice cold....fix the coolant sensor problem and you will have vtec.
