Help!! H23 Problem
ok i have a h23 prelude,....it had the idle wak thing,...bought and replaced EVERY sensor on the intake manifold,..ALL new vaccum hoses,....now the idle is @ 5,000 rpms,....and bounces aroun. also makin a VERY loud whinning noise and running like pure shit,..sounds sorta like its off timing but i don't think it is,...checked the FIV and followed tightning all the way tight then 5.5 turns back out,...cleaned the ENTIRE intake manifold (inside),..butterflys and all,...idk what the f*ck it is and can't figure it out,....help if possible,..will do work myselfe but if someone comes and fixes the problem i got cash if they do,..otherwise ill keep workin on it till i fix it myselfe,..THANKS TR !!
i would check the timing to make sure its right, pull out all spark plugs and stick a real long extension into the #1 spark plug hole (closest to the crank) and set it on the piston... get a rachet and socket to fit your crank bolt... undo the tensioner, and pull your belt off... carefully turn your cam gears and face both arrows up. (use a 12mm socket and rachet and set it on tighten, and use that to turn your cams)... once you have the arrows up, turn your crank slowly and watch that extension it will move up or down, turn it till the extension is sticking out of the hole at its highest point. that is called top dead center.... then carefully with out turning the crank, put your timing belt back on and tighten tensioner... reinsert all your plugs. make sure to pull your rachet off the crank before you start it...make sure everything is hooked up, and start her up... if you have any questions let me know... if this fixes your problem please let us know.

i think i got ur whinning noise figured out... check the tension on all your belts, if the belts are too tight, loosen them up to where they should be, cuz if they are too tight, the part that it is putting the load on will whine from the tension... today i changed the belt on my porsche, and i was whinning afterwards, i loosened the tension on my power steering belt a little bit and what do ya know... no more whinning...
it wines as soon as i turn the car on,...rather higher or lower RPM's. louder in higher RPM's tho,..but not much,....the belts might b too tight,..i think ima take them off one at a time and see if it stops as i take one or the other off,...and if not,....then that might b the problem,..other than that idk,....but thank you for everyones advice and let me kno if u have any more suggestions
