are all the d series starters the same automatic and manuel. will a automatic starter work on a 5sp is what im getting at

i never really heard of any one trying it, the best thing to do is if you can, try it out. and let us know what happens... worst case senario... starter doesnt fit, need to be returned. good luck

Probably most starters will fit both auto and manual trans.

An easy way to find out is to ask at the parts store what starter fits
the manual trans.
Then ask what starter fits the auto trans.
If the part numbers are the same, your question is answered.-Bob

nate, its coming along needed alot more parts than i thought. i had to order mount brackets got them then realized i needed new mounts and had to order them and shit takes like almost two weeks to get here. but the motor will be in this weekend hopefully. i was just thinking it would be easier to take my car to your shop for the wiring so you can check and make your everything is hooked up rite
