Default Any easier way to remove intake mani?

So i'm replacing the wasted bottom end of the B16a2 with a B16A motor (head and block only). While transplanting parts...is there any easier way to access the underside of the intake manifold without getting it on a lift or something. I cant seem to access one or two of the last bolts under there.

no, he wants to remove the head/intake mani before pulling the block.

if you get on your back, underneath the car, you can use a size 12 open end/box end wrench and get the last nut for intake mani.

remember to remove the BRACE the holds the head to the block also

i think hes asking if there is any easier way to get to the middle bolts on the underside of the intake mani... which there isnt... do what i do: call a friend with girlishly small hands, and give him a 3/8s rachet with a 3in extension bar and a 12milli, and tell him to go to work. the easiest way to reach it is from the drivers side, with the brake booster vac line removed and the alt. out, which ends up making the process easier anway. You can pull a b16a int. manifold from the top without even jacking the car up if you got the right tools (long extensions and swivel sockets).

Yeah, i took my cylinder head, exhaust mani, and intake mani out on saturday wit a friend and that was the least of my worries. Pull the exhaust mani out then when your removing the head, push and pull the intake manifold remove your head with the intake manifold and then unbolt the intake mani while it's off with the head. Or just make sure the bracket that holds the intake to the block for suport is detached and 12mm wrench preferably open end would do the job. You'll have to take the head off anyway, because the head won't float in the engine bay without the bottom end there..

i'm confused. if you are replacing the bottom end, rip the whole motor out, assemble all on a stand and drop it in. it doesnt get much easier than that.
