i need help ...BACKFIRE
ok i have a 89 hatch w/ls swap. I'm driving down the road when i went to gas it it just started studdering then major backfire.
CAR WONT START JUST BACKFIRES
CHECKED TIMING NOT IT...... HAVE NO CLUE.......PLEASE HELP

check compression lately?
if it backfires that means its getting spark, but too much fuel. do you have a fuel gauge or adjustable fpr?

First few things you want to do are the basics. Check the plugs/ignition and crank/cam timing. Be sure all of that is good. Check the wires, distributor rotor, check for any codes the ecu might be throwing (depending on the year of the swap). Check compression again.

Dont Know Much About Codes, But When I Try To Start The Car It Blinks Once
Which Tells Me Oxygen. I Dont Know If The Computer Blinks Once When You Start The Car. Then You Read The Codes After The First Blink?

check your rotor to make sure the screw didn't back out and your ignitor might be crapping out
