Default Civic loss of power.

D15 engine.
Did a cylinder pressure test and came out fine with no more than 5% loss on only one. Book said that up to 10% was ok.

The car seems to not have the "power" that it used to have. I also smell a good bit of exhuast type smell when the windows are down.

Any suggestions.

Thanks

Does it smell like unburnt gas? If so something is causing you to run rich.

how does the engine sound as far as idle? does it idle rough, please give details so we can narrow down the problem, could be your fuel filter being clogged, or you fuel pump is going bad, or you dizzy needs a tune up(cap rotor and maybe spark plug wires)... check for fuel and spark and let us know what u find out.

Fuel is getting there fine. Replaced fuel pump, filter recently. Replaced Dizzy Coil and ignitor. Kinda smells like burnt gas i guess you could say that. Also replaced spark plugs. Car doesnt really idle rough at all.

could be a plugged cat. when the car is cool, start it up and continuously feel in front of and in back of the cat. if it gets hot in front of the cat and remains cool for some time in back, replace the cat.
