suspension help

Default suspension help

allright so my 96 prelude again....i got it from a guy and he droped it 2 inches and its scrapin all up on speed bumps n gutters n that lil shit so i wana raise it back up or atleast another inch up so whats the easist and cheapist of doing that?

how did he drop it? did he cut the springs or are there coilovers on there... if there are coilovers then it wouldnt cost you anything to fix your problem.

he must have cut the coils becuase its not coilovers

Are they just aftermarket springs with stock shocks?

If so you'd prolly be better off buying stock Lude springs but it will be stock height.

ok well if this is the case, the cheapest way to fix that would be to buy some coilovers on ebay.... i have seen them go for 50 shipped on there, and from what i heard they aint to bad either... my friends got some in his crx and they have been there for 2 years and no problems at all. so i would check into some cheap coilovers...good luck

When will these shitheads learn that cutting your springs destroys the suspension setup. They are engineered to compress a certain amount at certain points thru the entire spring. If you fuck with with that compression pattern, you've basically destroyed the spring and quality of your ride.

Yes. Get yourself a coilover system. Remember you get what you pay for.

a free way to fix scraping problems is to go over the speed bumps and gutter slow and sideways
