exedy stage1 w/8lbs flywheel????
ight my clutch is going out and pwjdm is sending me a exedy stage 1 w/8 lbs flywheel..ive heard exedy is a replacement for oem...how much of a upgrade is this and what can i expect from it??how will it act/react compared to oem??
the flywheel is definatley a good upgrade, the exedy stage1 clutch is better than oem clutch because its made out of a stronger material, wont wear as quickly, and the clutch disk and pressure plate can handle a bit more torque and hp. you should feel a little bit more power from the lighter flywheel and less slippage of the clutch... most all clutchs slip a bit when shifting hard, the exedy slips less than oem meaning the power will be more directed to the wheels.

I'm running the same setup and felt a big difference from OEM
I think Exedy is over priced.Go w/Competition Clutch

the problem with EXEDY is they only either make a clutch with just a tad more clamping power than stock, or a freakin TWIN disk. there is no middle in between
from my experience with exedy:
stage 1- put in an H22 of a co worker, been there 4 months, has intake and exhaust, and hondata. never been to the track, only had street tires on it, done a few street races.......clutch is slipping
Race clutch- in a customers 2004 S2000- lasted a year, rough grab, very aggresive, still only lasted a year
contact username HONDAMIKE504 for a competetion clutch and flywheel for a killer deal

As long as you break it in properly you should have no clutch slipping issues. I love my Exedy stage 2 pressure plate with the stage 1 disk. It feels like driving a stock clutch but with a really hard pedal.
