If you replace with an energy suspension bushing then you can remove the old one with a propane torch and install the new one with a c-clamp or press. Done it several times. If you replace with an oem then you will definitely need a press or they make a special tool just for it that sells for about $300.

I HAVE ALWAYS just hammered them out and cut the old rubber out the metal ring and used energy suspensions..They are not pressed in hard at all.

Decide if you want to put a stock one in or go aftermarket with a polyurethane or maybe even a sphericle bearing joint ($$$). The stock one has a rubber center bonded to a sleeve that is pressed into the trailing arm. If you want to replace with oem you need a press and/or the special tool that I mentioned before. The aftermarket one leaves the oem sleeve in the trailing arm but requires you remove all the rubber to put the new urethane bushing in. You will also be reusing the stock "bar" that runs through the middle of the original rubber piece. The best way I've found to remove the rubber stock portion to put a urethane bushing in, is to burn out the stock rubber and then use a wire wheel to remove the left over ash before pressing the new urethane bushing in.

Good Luck.

ya,burn it out works great and a roto zip also does the job..its not that hard..the hardest part is getting the energy suspension bushing into the metal sleeve.IF you want some that are already ready to install i might have a set ready to go..i will check and see..i know i have the bushings here some where..
