i have a 1996 OBD2 GSR boared out to 2.1,...
eagle rods and pistons
ferra valves-springs and retainers
greddy 18g turbo,..
headers
obx racing cams/ AEM cam gears
AEM fuel rail and filter/fuel pressure regualtor
skunk 2 intake mani and throttle body
block guard

well,...the motor is ALL apart and waiting to b put in,...the only thing is,...i have no one to take the vlaves-springs-retianers out of my LS head and put them in my GSR head,....i'll give someone the bare LS head or something to do the work,..other than that the whole motor should b put in my hatch and running,...any help or suggestions?,..i have lots to trade for the work more than just the head,....THANKs TR

 

as far as i knew, LS springs werent recommended for vtec applications? i have seen the reversal of this and use vtec valve springs in a non vtec head

Those parts are not normally interchangeable. Like NC said some people run custom spring perches in ls heads to run vtec sporings so unless you did that in your ls head you won't be able to move the stuff to the vtec head.

 

the valvesprings will work in the vtec head BUT the retainers and valves will not..the ls has a larger valve stem then vtec you would need to change out the guides and have the head seated correctly

i got ferra valves,...idk what kind of springs and retainers they are,...was told by machine shop that they will work with the brand new ferra valves,and kno the guy who put them in the head with his income tax return....i just want my GSR together and don't want to bootleg anything that im gonna go over 100 in,...expecially with what money is into it,...thats for the advice tho,...
