Default 96 Prelude Help

allright so i got a 96 prelude vtech and the service engine light is on so i went 2 autozone so they coudl hook it up and according to the computer there is a Idle Air Control System Malfunction. The thing is that i dont even think i have 1 on because when i bought the car it had a cool air intake alredy installed so do i need a Idle air control system or does it not really matter?

vtec*. And it doesn't matter that you have a cai, the iac valve is located on the back of your intake manifold, go back to autozone or discount auto parts and purchase one and replace it and its fixed.

go back to autozone and buy a service manual for your car. it doesnt matter that you have a cold air intake, the IACV(idle air control valve) is located on the front of the intake manifold. take the IACV off and clean it out with some brake cleaner, if that doesnt work then you need a new one. its really easy to do, but just buy the service manual because it will have pictures that show you where it is and how to take it off.
