VSS is comming out of an obd1 d-series hydro tranny, will it work in an obd1 b-series hydro tranny? need to know asap, before I drive to go get it...

today i took a speed sensor out of a y8 and put in on my z6...it worked....i than put the y8 one in my gsr....and it worked....i have also used a 92 cx vss on an ls.the 96+ d series have a one piece sensor and the 94+ b series have a 2 piece so when necessary you will have to change the whole piece but it will work.....so over all: all 5spd hydro b and d vss's are interchangable. and dont let people tell you otherwise because alotta people will swear that they wont work just because they look differant,

 

You can even run the cable speedo's in the hydro trannies and the cable d and b series will also work in f and h series trannies. The cable speedo in the h is how you get the speedo working in h series crx's. This applies to 5spd speedo's. Not sure if auto ones work in 5spd trannies.

 

Just and FYI, if any of you guys ever decide to buy a new VSS from an auto parts store, buy one for a single cam... Theres a significant price difference, and they work the same

 

Fuck that, that 264.00 can go towards my championship white paint job, I'll find one in a junkyard one day..
