older than teh intraweb. The guy blew his rear diff up at the track.

he used the entire crv sub frame. He cut and re-welded the trailing arms so they were the correct length. He also cut the stock driveshaft and had it shortened. He also cut out the floor of is car and welded flat sheet metal for the floor.

so the rear diff blew up? i still think it would be so bad to have a crx roasting all four tires.

The car wouldnt roast 4 tires. The CRV rear end is weird. It is technically 2wd until the front wheels start to spin. Then fluid in the rear diff heats up and starts to transfer VERY LITTLE power to the rear wheels. And if you're in a turbo honda where the front tires break loose like mad, imagine what will happen to that diff when the front wheels are spinning so much faster than the rear... Perhaps he welded the center diff, in which case it would be 4WD not AWD.
