issues with 96 civic coupe ex tranny

Default issues with 96 civic coupe ex tranny

My friend installed a new clucth kit on his 96 civic coupe ex hydro tranny but now it makes a noise, when he presses the clucth the noise goes away. any help will be aprreciated.

sounds like a throw out bearing

i told him that could be the case, does he needs to replace the whole kit of just the throw out bearin (but is brand new the clutch kit)

Just replace the throwout bearing and the sound should go away.

i was told tho when the throw out baring starts to make that noise that its still good for a few mouths before it goes to hell so u dont need to bust your ass to replace it its safe just the noise will get anoying

Why though put it off till later when you can do it now? Isn't there a rule that Failure = Wait -1, where the part fails 1 minute before you think you have time to patch it up.

when you bought the clutch kit it didnt come with a new throw out bearing? did you resurface the flywheel?...did you forget anything else?

My tranny does the same thing... just started it. You push the clutch in and no noise. When engaged it makes a small squeal and YES it gets damn ANNOYING. Thought I needed a new tranny but I guess a throw out bearing is slightly cheaper.
