cv joint problems!!! i need ur help

Default cv joint problems!!! i need ur help

SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME I BEEN TRYING TO TAKE THIS POS OFF FOR THE PAST 2 WEEKS AND I STILL DONT KNOW WHAT THE PROBLEM IS... HELP IS GREATLY APPRECIATED

okay i drive an 1989 honda crx with b16 and rite now i am changing my cv joints.. the only problem is that i can not take off the right side cv joint.. i broke 3 breaker bars already and i have no idea what to do next? My main question is am i turning it the wrong way?? do i turn the opposite direction on each side of the cv joint?? thanks in advance...

oh and the cv joint is on the passenger side...


btw its the big 32mm axle nut

where is it stuck? on the tire side? or tranny side? or are you talking about the big nut that bolts on to the end? if so left is always lossie? please explain a little more so we can help you further, what side, what part, bolt?, nut?

oh and carefull when prying, cuz if you dont have it disassembled correct, prying isnt always the answer, you could break something double check your work and give us more deatails

if youre referring to the big 32mm axle nut, there is a portion of it that is flattened down with a hammer after its tightened so it cannot come loose. it you do not pry this flatened part back out before trying to loosen it, youll have a great time trying to break it loose.

huh?? i still dont get it.. i just got a air compress + impact drill.. it still wont come off.. what is going on!?!? btw yea im referring to the 32mm axle nut... freaking crazy


o btw the impact gun does like 500 lbs of torque
and my air compressor is rated at 125 psi...
Is there still something wrong with me?? OR am i doing a rookie mistake??

on the 32mm nut there is a notch that is hit in to keep the nut from comin loose, u need to take a screw driver stick it under that notch and bend that notch upward away from the bolt as far as it will go, then try that impact gun again.
