Default Vtec Pressure Switch????

so anywho im not very familiar with the Vtec engines, but my friend has a 95 GSR in his EX EG coupe...his Vtec quit engaging(sp?) recently and his ECU is throwing a code 22(i think) and i looked it up and it says its the Vtec Pressure Switch.

Now my question is this, what could be cuasing the problem? just a bad sensor or could it be something else, also does anyone have one if thats the problem. and also if anyone could post some pictures of the sensor or tell me where it is located it would be greatly appreciated....im not a retard i know how to work on cars again im just not familiar with the Vteac engines i've always had SOHC non-vtec or LS's......so someone help me out here!!

If vtec was working previously & the vehicle has a stock ecu & no vtec controller connected to it etc. I would look into checking the oil pressure. If the oil pressure appears to be fine, I would then bypass the vtec oil pressure switch by jumping a signal wire from the vtec solenoid wire to the vtec oil pressure switch wire (in the car).

Good Luck.

ohh screw me sorry for not paying attention. How far down was the oil on the dipstick? Make sure you note that first. If nothing and it was fine, you could take a multimeter to the vtec psi sensor and see if it is getting/sending some sort of signal. If im wrong anyone please correct me on this
