Default Raise compression w/ Gsr head

HEY, Just wondering if anyone had any knowledge of this. What pistons should I use to get higher compression with a Gsr head. Have b16a2 block. Had pr3 pistons didnt really do to much for me. Put in usdm type r's and they hit the head not the valves so had to use thicker head gasket. So that didnt really help out. Thinking of using p30's. Just trying to get something running half way decent till I get the $ to get the gsr built again. If anyone has some suggestions it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

b16 block and GSR head? Why change pistons? What CR are you shooting for? The smaller combustion chamber of the GSR head should bring it up about half a point or so. Why not use the compression ratio calculator on cspeedracing.com?

If I were you, I'd keep stock internals and perhaps a Skunk2 intake manifold. With what you've got, you'll be pretty content the power it'll put out on OEM parts.

I recommend a c/r of around 11.6-12.0:1

I mean what pistons could i use that wouldn't hit the head. Has anyone tried p30's with this setup. Head has port polish, crower springs+retainers, crower stage 2 cams, Victor x mani w/ 65mm tb. thanks guys

Somewhere around what vega was talkin bout. 11.5-12.0. I need to know if any of the higher cc pistons will hit the head. We noticed when we were putting them in the type r's had a lower dome but the flat part on the sides was taller then the pr3's. Thats why it ended up hitting the filled in quinch area on the gsr head. Thanks again for all the help guys.
