i need someone that knows how to change a head gasket on a LS VTEC ASAP...lmk

 

take off valve cover, take off head, replace hg, put back on head, tq headstuds, replace valve cover.

 

1) take head off
2) put on new gasket
3) put head back on

 

what about the timing? doesnt it mess up the timing..

 

not as long as you dont move the cam gear/crank pulley

 

it only messes up timing if you turn the crank, just make sure to put your cams in the right places. as long as you put everything back the way it came... your timing should be fine, but if your timing gets off, it is easy to re-time

If your doing it, Go get a manual otherwise go at it blind. If you want step by step iam 3 years old etc. etc.. Its pretty striaght forward. Remove everything around the head.
