Default installing clutch/flywheel?

I'm going to be putting my friends clutch/flywheel on my car today since he just got new ones, and his old ones are in WAY better shape than mine. i plan on getting a new clutch/pp/flywheel, probably from ACT, pretty soon, but i need this for now.

im gonna get an alignment tool from the advanced or whatever(do they have them?), but I need to know how to install the flywheel and clutch?

im pretty mechanically inclined, and there's no way im paying someone to change my clutch when i can do it myself. i just need the basic instructions.

thanks

HERE is a much more HONDA friendly write up! I have never done one myself either, but it can't be that hard with two people. Just make sure you have all the items you need so you don't have to keep running back and forth to the auto store. You should also have someone phone number who REALLY knows how to do the install, that way you can just ask a professional.

yes, position a breaker bar between the pavement and in the flywheel teeth to hold it. It's tricky, try to find someone to hold it in place.

A little PB Blast will work wonders on those Flywheel bolts, Then put a wrench on one of the bolts and hit/tap the end of the wrench with a hammer......Same basic idea if you don't have a Compressor w/ An Air Gun.

Break them all loose but don't remove any bolts until every one is able to come off by hand, This will keep pressure off of just one or two bolts that are still stock tight.

G/L with the change out
