Default y8 block rebuild

i was wondering how much it would cost to rebuild a y8 block any websites that i can buy a build from and about how much would it cost for someone to do it.. or if i could do it myself any help would be greatly appreciated thanks..

First off get your self a service manual..ie helms chilton etc. Go to the section titled rebuild/overhaul. Do you want to rebuild it take to stock specs?higher compression?turbo/na? After you decide which route to go then you can purchase rods, pistons, bearings, machine work, head work etc etc...Good luck with the build. Should be fun

you can order all you parts tthru TOmpsons in my sign thay are in stpete best prices and instock items im doing a y8 sohc myself

do it yourself.

the most important part is clearances, and lube. lottttts of assembly lube.


find a crap engine, and just take it apart to see how things work and where they go. experience is the best teacher
