Default building a d16y8

im building a d16y8 bottom end im gonna be doing a .020 bore on the block and a .010 under turn on the crank can anyone give some advice on what kind of pistons to use to get a good c/r and how much h/p would i be expecting to gain off doing this is it really worth doing the bore or should i just turn the crank and leave the block as it is?

well i just had my d16y8 block bored .60 over with custom Je pistons and there 9:5:1 comp. .....as long as its the d16y8 head your comp will jump a lil but nothing to worry about but i deffentaly suggest forged then you can spray the hell out of it. and if your boring ur block i wouldnt spary right away i would wait about a month or so after you build, you need to let your new pistons seat or you will fuck shit up :::boom:::

the place thats machining my block .20 over im getting my pistons thru they are pop-up pistons rated at 12.5:1 compression they are 300 for all pistons with rings and installing them on the piston rods also so i figure thats a pretty good deal

cspeedracing.com has a compression calculator to play with and now has d-series added to it. Its fun to play with. I was and still am kinda looking into this same as you.
