Default dizzy swap questions

hey guys i converted a D16Y8 to OBD-I(alt, injectors, ecu, and the dizzy from my z6) and the only code im getting is 19(the ecu is from an auto)... my problem is the car is turning over and i have not been able to get it started yet... i know im getting fuel so i think my problem is my dizzy since none of the mounting points lined up correctly and i had to modify it to work... im not sure where to set it for timing, but wouldnt the motor at least try to fire up if the timing was off? if someone could let me know if its possible to use this dizzy or give me some options on how to get this thing running it would be greatly appreciated... thanks guys
-Josh

just get a y8 dizzy and pull the wires out of the plug and put em in the obd-1 plugs.....just match up the colors. easiest way.

sounds like the coil is bad in the dizzy. if you have a spare dizzy lying around ( no matter what OBD ) just swap out coils.

you dont need a second opinion.....i got a z6 in an ek running obd-2 and i rewired the dizzy the other day. its easy because honda rocks. compare yers to the y8 you will notice that the obd2 plug looks just like the 2 obd-1 plugs side by side. and all the colors are the same. the only problem is that the 2 bigger pins will be a little smaller than the obd-2 ones but it will still plug in. since i did mine the other way i had to snip a little metal off the 2 pins but yers should be fine because its smaller not larger.

This is not a second opinion. It's a character reference. I've met freakasis
and believe he knows what he's talking about.
We were doing some late night/early morning suspension work, and he was quoting me engine combinations for various cars off the top of his head.
Call his bluff and do it the way he says. Let us know if it works or not.-Bob
