vtec problems!

Arrow vtec problems!

my boy has a civic hb with a b16 motor gsr head, vtec dont kick in like it should as soon as he hits 6g it starts sputtering and wont kick in any1 kno why? if u know please let me know asap, later

Is there any check engine lights thats going off...A little more info may help

no check engine light is on, it jus started happening

first most ovious would be oil and oil pressure. Filter in the vtec solnoid. Possiable aftermarket plugs and wires. I would check all this first. If it was working before and just started acting up. Usually a simple fix.

check oil press, make sure your engine temp sensor is working as well as VSS. And what car is it in and what ecu is it running?

its in a 93 hb not sure on wut ecu hes running the car used to have a b18c5 swap but it was blown so it has the b16 with gsr head thanks
