Ok my car needs to be looked at by someone who knows exactly what they are doing and is trust worthy. Which shop do you think would be best for this? Also it would be preffered that it is one of the shops that are frequented with hondas/imports. I hear alot of shops going around like "Chavez this" or "CMS that", someone give me some direction.

I have only dealt with the following shops that would be able to get you in. Nothing but good to say about them.

* Mike Yonke (727.647.4144) (St Pete / Pinellas Park)
* LHT (727.344.1800) (Clearwater)

oil going into your intake deff sounds like you have a bent valve and the valve guide is broke(leaking oil threw the seal) or you have a blown HG, like you said, bring it to a shop. CMS is no longer doing service to new customers, only old customers and selling parts.(atleast the last I heard, I could be wrong) your issue is something any reputable shop can find and fix. the question is price, take a look at the 1st sticky on this forum for local shops and start making calls come monday. DONT drive the car!!! If your valves are bent you could possible drop one or a few valves if you continue to drive it causing MAJOR DAMAGE!!! So get help from a certified tech and be done with it.. G/L with your car man.. hope it all works out for you..... BTW the knocking sound comming from your camgear area further shows you may have damaged some valves causing them to become noisey..

first problem would have been solved if you took it to a dealer and let someone work on your car who knows what there doing. The timing being off 12 and 14 teeth (thats bad)

First of all, RC, I took my car to a guy named Aaron who works at a shop called McCranor Motorsports off Johns Road and I have seen pretty nice cars built by him and nothin but good work come out of there. Now if I made XX,XXX amount of dollars a year yes, I would take it to the dealer everytime I heard a squeak or small problem..... But since I make way less than that, I am still in high school, plus I work a shitty job, I feel as if the shop of my choice would be o.k. Maybe next time you can pay the difference to take it to Acura? Plus what does the car being off 12 and 14 teeth mean about this guy? He set the timing AFTER it went off 12 and 14 teeth on exhaust and intake respectively.

And to John (Username), Bro it would be amazing if you could come over here and look at it, you know I fucking suck when it comes to diagnosing a engine problem, hell even at doing most maintanence on a car. Oh yeah and I havent been in school because Mr. "Dick Face" Rawlins decided to give me 10 days out of school "vacation" for using profanity (All I said was fuck!?!?!?!). Give me a call whenever you can man (813) 334-4028
