Default ? on test pipe vs. high flow cat

I currently have a testpipe on my 00 civic si with the greddy evo cat-back exhaust. I was wondering if i put a high flow cat, will it be a little more quieter? or maybe reduce or remove the raspy/rice sound i hate.... when i had this exhaust on my sohc 95 ex it was deeper with no rasp sound... in other words i want to elimate that raspy sound... any suggestions

well considering ur exhaust was for a sohc it will sound different on another motor considering its a dohc now. and yes a cat would help with the raspy sound a little good luck

Replace the cat/testpipe with a resonator...

+1 on the resonator. I run that now on my civic, but ran a testpipe on my prelude with a Apexi N1 exhaust. The N1 is already loud in general, now multiply that x2.

Any rules against more than one resonator?

Smaller diameter pipes inside the tailpipe where it exits the muffler will also quiet it down some, from testing with a previous car.......-Bob
