Default Supercharger Issues...

Hey I have a Jackson Racing supercharged Ls in an Eg, It will not stop throwing alternator belts off of the alternator, and the supercharger belt keeps hopping in towards the case of the alternator and is tearing up/losing belts frequently, if anyone have ever had any of these problems with their superchargers let me know what you did to fix it because its costing me more in belts a week than in gas. Thanks -Ben

Are all of the pulleys True(straight)?
Nothing is bent?

I know this has nothign to do with hondas, but it is similar.

I used to have a 97 Eclipse that would throw them all the damned time. Well i found it was the crank pulley. In the pulley is a rubber section that gets warped after so long, and will cause you to throw belts in the higher RPM ranges. That really sucked to find out. I must have spent about $100 in belts and a total of about 3 hours labor total in a month.

I feel your pain....G/L

Could be too tight, I'll try loosening them up to have about 1/4 inch of play, I have them at about 1/8th inch of play which is a big difference.. -Ben

Belt is either too tight, too loose. There might be a warped pulley or something is off center. What kind of belt you running? Once you stop throwing belts go ahead and spend the little extra on the better belts. Advance sells them as V-cog I think. Or get a Gator Back. They work great with SC because they with stand warping and slipping. Looks like this.

One of the biggest issues is the spacer piece that is missed ot of the JRSC lower alt bracket. The next is the 2 spaces ( Washers ) on the upper lt bracket.
I have found they tend to loose traction and shape at around 17,500 rpm regardless.
