Lower springs are generally cheaper than coilovers BUT an adjustable suspension sure is nice +1 for coilovers

If your really looking to be low but don't want to sacrafice the ride quality, I suggest you use either Neuspeed or H&R Race Springs.
You'll be looking at a 2.5"+ drop which ends up giving you a one finger gap between the tire and fender.
Slip over shock Coilovers seem to have many problems after a while, Plus....Really,How many times do you actually end up adjusting the height of your car just to have a rough ride everyday.?
They also make a lot of noise.

Coilover Damper systems are the top choice, but if your a Baller on a Budget, These setups will not be easy on your wallet.

So it looks like springs with maybe a aftermarket shock is your best bet.
Any stock shock will blow after a while once having a spring or coilover added to it.
The shocks do not have enough travel to absorb bumbs.....= rough ride for a while till it pops.

G/L with your decision.
If you need more help with decision or installation....PM me

i have full a H&R damper coilover kit on my '95 GSR. i absolutely love them, they are getting older and prolly need to be rebuild but i am just going to get a new set of ksports or something. i had lowering springs on my 95 ls and i will never go back to springs. the price difference is because of what you are getting. imo damper kits are worth every penny. if you are looking for a good deal on ksports contact Xiwei (pronounced sea-way) at XY Racing 941-223-4171. tell him envy or chad told you to call he will get you the best price he can. he also deals with tein eibach and other spring companies if you decide to go that route. gl with your project.

I currently have Tokiko Blues Shocks and Skunk 2 Coilovers, I am pretty happy with them and I am dropped about 2-2.5 inches, I however like to switch out rims from time to time so being able to adjust the height when I want works for me, plus I didnt pay shit for them so that is always a plus.

ebay brand coilovers are cheaper because they suck. normally coilovers aren't cheaper. but its your choice.
