got my honda del sol b16a2 but last week the crankshaft got messed up and as my mecanic said probably the pistons too. he said he was gonna charge me (a lot) for doin the job that if i wanted it would be cheaper to get a swap( plus my engine already has 150k) for my car but i was thinkin since its a b16 dohc what engine would perfectly fit i know a b18 would do it but some of them i was checkin out was SOHC , i need some suggestions on what engine should i get so i can also use my b16 tranny .. thanks a lot

my b16 head came out of a 200O CIVIC SI.....Got it last year ...

 

if the head is good , just pick up a gsr bottom end .

 

you can use ANY Bseries engine, and keep your tranny. everything should be plug n play.

 

i didnt know there was a single cam b series????

 

to use your current tranny you will need to stay b series. i would just get another b16 if you go to a sohc your going to be dissapointed in the power difference. so i would suggest new b16 or a gsr etc.

 

b18a1 is sohc i think that i why i said that ... a gsr bottom end and it will be alright then ?

 

all b series are twin cam, only single cams are D and F and i think A. Notice B18a1

 

any idea of how much that would cost me ? or a b16 botton end ... anyone sellin one in here ? thanks a lot guys
