ls swapped hatch...pretty sure its some kind of S1 tranny (i dont know many tranny codes, forgive me). i'm pretty sure its an ls tranny b/c...
if i shift from 1st @ 5k it drops down to 3k in 2nd, and if i redline 1st, it drops down to 4300-4400 (somewhere around there). BUT 2nd gear at 7k will hit ~50mph, 3rd ~73-74mph, 4th ~105-ish, 5th dunno. seems kinda short to me, as i was told that ls trannies are tall as hell. for reference in my old crx with a dx (single cam) tranny at 7100 rpm in 2nd would hit ~63mph, 3rd ~100mph, and 4th would bury the speedo and keep climbing for a while (probably 135-ish...that 140mph run was exciting...thanks josh [silvspeed])
btw at 80 mph i'm at about 3800 rpm w/the supposed ls tranny

just curious as to what i have, b/c i need a tranny badly and if i already have a b16 tranny and get an ls tranny it will be unbearably slow lol (bad enough as it is).

You have a LS tranny. A b16a would be up around 5k @ 80mph in 5th gear.

and yours is the kind of gearing i want. your rev limit is seventy-two hundred right (my two key is broke, like my bank account )? mine will be about 7100 when i get my ecu converted to manual...or if i shut the car off for a sec. for the CEL to go away lol
is that close to b16 gearing? i remember floyd said he was at about 100 at top of 4th, but i dunno how high he was revving (since he had a b16).
