I just aquired a 1987 Civic hatchback (my lunchbox). Im planning on putting an LS (B1 into it. My question to you guys is, what would be the best thing for me to do? Weld the mounts(about 100$), buy a hasport kit(700$), or just throw a D16a6 into it and spray the hell out of it. Some other questions are what axels will i use with the b series tranny in that chassis. Will I have to fab up alot of stuff to make it fit? What linkages should I use? Those are the only questions I have of now. Any help would be greatly appreciated... Most of the questions are pointed to some of the more old school/ honda gurus, but if any of you other guys can help thatd be great also. Thanx in advance.

personally i would not mess with those years civics. if you alredy got and want to swap it it could get costly to put a b series in it opposed top to later years 88 and up. also it depends as always how fast you want to go and how much you can spend. simple solutiopn put in a strong d series and spray it or get another chasis and go from there.
