Angry could an o2 sensor create cut out?

my old school 86 lude has a skiping issue, i took the head off and put rings and rod bearings and a head gasket in and now that i put it back together it skips so i double checked the timming and it wasnt that wich i already kinda knew since the valves wherent bent but i checked any way. im thinking now that it could be o2 sensor cous it runs real rich but it still dosent explain the random breaking up and stalling..? any ideas ?

HELP!

ya bro i figured out the idol and cut out issue it was a vac mix up to the intake plenum and it was sucking the wrong way causing some sort of problem and the complete shut down problem turned out to be electrical problem (main relay) havnt got a new one yet but thats an easy fix... thanks for the help.
