Default rusty water/detailing engine compartment

Ok you detailers,
Nasty brown water sprayed out of a previously-owned
cars radiator, all over engine compartment. (groan)

What is best to remove the brown scunge without harming the paint
and.......without unbolting everything to scrub it with a toothbrush?
High pressure spray at the car wash doesn't touch it.

Thanks in advance.-Bob

Im no detailer....but i have been slowly working on my engine bay.... Used Castrol super clean (Mixed Strong) You can buy a gallon of it at wal mart. Get a spray bottle and mix it up...spray on wipe off. It took the Refridgerant (R134a) off my shit when my compressor blew up....Give that a shot.
